I think like a guest, act like a leader, and build like true HR

I lived what I teach.

I was thinking lately how we all end up with these strange, unique blends of skills.

Some on purpose.

Some by accident.

Many from random lessons that didn’t seem important at the time (like me being an astronomy teacher, in a space camp, years ago, in Turkey, deciding to want to live & work in at least 10 more different countries. Almost half way there today, actually, and still a dream!).

And now? These blends are the very things that make us valuable.

But only if we acknowledge them and put them to use.

And only if we are in the right environment. (I suffer from this a little bit, lately, but pushing through)

The question is never “Do you have something to offer?”

It’s “Where does your blend belong?”

And “Are you still waiting for someone to give it permission?”

I’m in that phase where my collected mix: luxury hospitality, high performance HR and lately entrepreneurship & consultancy, finally makes sense.

And these are only the MACROS! Business acumen, expertise you can easily see on the LinkedIn profile.

Imagine the Micros! The meta-competencies. How I approach learning & solving problems. Shaped by the mindsets and environments I was exposed to, the quality of people that I surround myself with, the cultures I lived in, the level of excellence I have to sustain.

And I use this blend with every opportunity, with students, leaders, owners.

To upgrade their experiences. From the inside out. And mine in the process.

This is what I want more of: people who use what they’ve lived to serve others better. Not flashy. Not loud. Just useful & intentional.

So maybe your blend doesn’t fit a job title.

Maybe it raises eyebrows in rooms that only value what they already know.

If it’s rare, it’s needed.

And if you’ve lived it, you’ve earned the right to use it!

Let’s stop waiting to be discovered. We’re not products. We’re professionals.

Experienced. Intentional. Ready.
