The 5* Mindset Workshop is about well-being at work.

In my whole career as HR in Luxury Hospitality, maybe there were 20 times I can recall when I did not want to go to work in the morning!

And none of them had to do with the difficulty of the tasks ahead!

🙄 But with the people I was about to see (and did not want to…).

Or better said in any of those cases I was in a broken work relationship with someone because of different working styles, different carrying levels, different culture, micromanagement, lack of trust, low performance, emotional confusion, poor leadership (mine or theirs) …

But 20 times in the perspective of 13 years is almost equal to NEVER!

And I learned how to have difficult conversations to overcome those phases!

Today I am pretty sure that my view of the world was shaped, in big proportion, by the work environment I was exposed to.

And I know it’s more popular to be anti-corporate, hashtag#FreeYourself, and talk about bad bosses, toxic people, and passive-aggressive emails.

🔥 And, of course, I have experienced all of these too!

But I am better today because of my work environment, not in spite of it!

💜 This is what I learned from the 5* hospitality ecosystem:

 >Treating my colleagues as 5* guests is a standard, a normality, the first, most basic thing to do at work.

 >Serving employees sounds as natural and as important as serving guests for me!

 >Meeting expectations feels a bit like a failure because, most times, it’s a choice not to exceed them.

 >Excellence does not start in reception, but in the back-office!

 >Each employee has a very clear mission, that is not confused with daily tasks – delighting the guest!

 > Creating an empowering culture requires very strong leadership.

 >Not having a culture is the basis of abuse, high turnover, toxic behaviors, burnout and the rest of the deep concepts.

And my plan is to bring such concepts to non-hospitality teams as well, for better work relationships!

🦄 Because the place of work where you ACTUALLY like to go exists!

It just requires a lot of work from the inside out, starting with how YOU behave in response to everyone’s daily behaviors, what you decide to accept something or assertively address it, up to the value we bring to each other!

⁉️ What positive mindset have you taken from your work environment?

💡 Drop a comment with one workplace lesson that shaped you!

P.S. Acknowledge but put on pause for a second the negative and sarcastic ones like “how NOT to behave when I am a leader”, “how to handle toxic people”, “passive-aggressiveness super-skills”, “How to survive when everyone is in for themselves!” etc.
